Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck)

Abdominoplasty surgery will improve abdominal contour, and remove excess and sagging skin; in addition weakened muscles can be tightened. A patient’s figure, lost following childbirth or major weight loss, can be markedly improved. There are modified tummy tuck procedures that will improve abdominal contour and are often combined with liposuction for patients who do not require a full abdominoplasty. Some abdominoplasty surgeries will be covered by insurance for patients with symptoms from a large redundant abdominal panniculus, usually occurring after significant weight loss. Dr. Silberman will give you a complete evaluation with an office consultation. For more information on abdominoplasty surgery, you can go to the American Society of Plastic Surgery.
