IPL  •  Intense Pulsed Light   •  Laser rejuvenation   •  Photofacial

It's surprising how sundamage can age your appearance! Photorejuvenation is a great treatment to remove sundamage , to refine your appearance, remove unwanted pigmentation and make you look amazing. Patients routinely report looking "younger' after their treatments. IPL is laser like light which is focused on specific chromataphores or colors in the skin. At Plastic Surgery Associates our clinical aestheticians direct light energy to focus on your skin's specific challenges, whether it be age spots, sun damage or broken capillaries. Specific and detailed, our experienced aestheticians are masters of IPL. For the first time patient, a photofacial is an excellent introduction to prepare their skin for a new skin care regime. And for the most seasoned skin care patient, a one time treatment once a year keeps those dreaded age spots and sundamage at bay.

Unwanted Hair

Peach Fuzz  •  Mustache Hairs  •  Billy Goats  •  Chin Hairs  •  Underarm Hair  •  Leg Hair
Bikini Line  •  Nipple Hair  •  Back Hair

Both men and women are plagued by unwanted hair. Many women want to avoid the bumps from shaving body hair and want to reduce their time getting ready in the morning. Genetics and hormones play a huge role in determining hair growth, as well as certain medical conditions. A comprehensive consultation is essential to determine the best treatment program for each patient. Fitzpatrick I or fair skinned patients with dark hair will see the quickest response to laser hair removal, but darker skin types can also be helped. Your aesthetician will set the Intense Pulse Light (IPL) energy levels to perfectly fit your Fitzpatrick skin tone level. It is essential that a patient not be tanned by sun or sunless tanning creams prior to IPL treatments. You should expect a series of IPL treatments initially followed by yearly touch ups.

Our skin care and laser hair removal treatment facility is located in beautiful Doylestown Pennsylvania – close to Warrington, Chalfont, Montgomeryville, Buckingham, New Britain, and Plumbsteadville.

Brown Spots

Melasma  •  Chloasma  •  Lesions  •  Age Spots  •  Freckles  •  Dyschromia  •  Hyperpigmentation
Ephelides  •  Liver Spots  •  Pregnancy Mask  •  Dark Upper Lip

Brown spots are most often caused by sun exposure and hormonal influences. After a careful review of your medical and sun exposure history, Dr. Silberman’s Clinical Aestheticians will create a plan just for you. It is important that the cause of skin darkening is regulated such as reducing sun exposure or changing medications. Intense Pulse Light (IPL) treatments are used to improve the “brown spots” problem, and results may be seen in as few as one IPL treatment, although a short series of three is usually best. Support products such as skin bleachers are highly recommended to maximize your results and daily use of sunscreen is a must.

Broken Blood Vessels

Couperose  •  Rosacea  •  Red Face  •  Irish Skin  •  Telangiectasia  •  Hemangioma
Spider Veins  •   Vascular lesions  •  Cherry Angioma  •  Red Spots

Lighter skins are often plagued by a red or pink tone. Most patients complain of concentrated areas of broken blood vessels around the cheek, chin, nose and nostrils. While telangiectasias are most often attributed to your inherited genes, factors such as sun exposure, pregnancy and injury can exacerbate the problem. Most often a series of three Intense Pulse Light (IPL) treatments is required to achieve maximum results. To ensure a long lasting result, support products, prescriptions and sunscreen will often be recommended.

Rhytids  •  Wrinkles  •  Crow’s Feet  •  Jowls  •  Sagging Skin  •  Lip Lines

Many patients complain of wrinkles at some point during an initial consultation with our aestheticians. A certain amount of skin changes are normal and expected as we age. At Plastic Surgery Associates our skin care specialists have a variety of methods to help your skin look its best, including glycolic acid or TCA peels to exfoliate the outer layer of skin and smooth the texture of your skin. We may suggest Intense Pulse Light (IPL) treatments to boost collagen in the skin to give you a tighter, more refined appearance. Daily use of recommended skin care products is essential when battling rhytids (wrinkles). Collagen boosters, exfoliants, and sunscreens are mandatory to achieve your best look. Dr. Silberman is always available to consult with you about fillers to plump up the skin, Botox to reduce the muscle contractions and minimize dynamic wrinkles and beneficial surgical procedures such as facelifts, office facelifts, eyelid tucks, eyebrow lifts and face/neck liposculpture. Cosmetic consultations with Dr. Silberman are complimentary.
