Laser
Skin Resurfacing
Laser
skin resurfacing is a procedure for fine and deeper rhytids (wrinkles)
of the face, especially around the eyes and mouth. Laser skin resurfacing
can also be used to better blend scars from acne or trauma, and
sun damaged and/or blotchy pigmented (discolored) skin. The CO2
laser is the most popular laser resurfacing instrument, and allows
a high degree of precision and safety. The CO2 laser removes upper
layers of the skin and allows healing (collagen re-orientation )
to tighten and smooth the skin. Dr. Silberman can give you a full
evaluation at an office consultation. For more information you can
go to the American Society of Plastic Surgery.
